Computer Basics 1 - This class presents the benefits of using a personal computer, identifies the major parts of the computer and introduces and discusses the keyboard.
Computers Basics 2 - This class provides hands on experience with handling the mouse. Participants will identify program icons, learn and use computer shortcut keys and open and close programs.
Computer Basics 3 - This class introduces the importance of saving documents as one works! The concept of "file management" will be introduced. The process of saving to various storage devices will be presented and discussed. There will be an opportunity for hands on learning.
PC Basics - covers general PC skills such as using the Start menu and desktop shortcuts and creating, renaming and deleting files and folders.
Internet I - teaches students how to get on the Internet and search for and navigate websites.
Keyboarding - Tired of hunting and pecking on the keyboard? Come have fun learning how to type on the keyboard and increase your words per minute!
Word I - demonstrates how to create a document in Microsoft Word, edit and format text and print and save the document.
Word II - covers more advanced features in Microsoft Word, such as tables, inserting images and formatting for research papers.
PowerPoint - covers creating and organizing slides for a presentation, choosing a design and inserting images.
Excel - provides an introduction to using and formatting spreadsheets, setting up basic formulas and creating charts.
